When You Can’t Find It… You Create It

There’s a moment in almost every project where you’ve looked everywhere—and it still doesn’t exist. The scale is off. The material isn’t right. The detail is close… but not quite.

That’s usually where custom comes in.

Over the past few years, I’ve spent a lot of time behind the scenes building relationships with artisans who can actually execute at a high level—not just make something similar, but really bring an idea to life. It wasn’t a quick process, and it definitely wasn’t something I rushed. Finding the right partner matters.

What I love most about this process is the flexibility—without sacrificing integrity. We can take inspiration, refine proportions, adjust materials, and create something that feels intentional… like it was always meant to be part of the space.

And it doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes it’s as simple as, “I love this, but I need it 6 inches narrower,” or “Can we do this in a different wood tone?” Other times, it’s starting from scratch with a sketch or reference image and building from there.

If you’ve ever had a piece in mind that you just couldn’t quite source, it’s always worth exploring the custom route.

I’m always happy to take a look, talk it through, and put together a quote—no cost, no pressure. Sometimes just seeing what’s possible is the best place to start.

Just You Create It
